3. I HAVE COME TO THEE

I have come to thee to take your touch before I begin my day.
Let Thy eyes rest upon my eyes for a while
Let me take to my work the assurance of Thy comradeship, my friend.
Fill my mind with music to last through the desert of noise.
Let Thy love’s sunshine kiss the peaks of my thought and linger in my
life’s valley where the harvest ripens.

Like the stars in the sky,
Like the waves of the seas,
You are timeless and ageless and free.

You are good, you are truth
You are God, for all time,
You are Lord of all men,
You are mine.

Send your spirit of love,
Like a wind blowing free,
Let Him fill every corner of me.
