About Our Hostel

St. Xavier's School provides excellent hostel facilities for students who come from different parts of the country. Our hostel is designed to provide a safe, comfortable, and conducive environment for learning and personal growth. We understand the importance of a nurturing atmosphere that complements the academic excellence of our institution.

The hostel is run by St. Xavier’s School, Burdwan which ensures that students receive proper care, guidance, and supervision. We maintain a perfect balance between discipline and freedom, allowing students to develop independence while staying within a structured environment.

Accommodation

Spacious and well-ventilated rooms with comfortable bedding, study tables, and individual storage lockers. We have adequate privacy and security.

Dining Facilities

Hygienic and nutritious meals served in a clean dining hall.

Study Hall

Well-equipped study hall with proper lighting and seating arrangements. Quiet environment for focused study.

Recreational Facilities

Indoor and outdoor sports facilities, common room with TV and games, weekend recreational activities, and cultural programs for holistic development.

HOSTEL RULES & REGULATIONS

General Conduct

  • Students must maintain discipline and decorum at all times
  • Respect for fellow hostel mates and staff is mandatory
  • No ragging or bullying will be tolerated
  • Students must follow the dress code during meals and study hours

Academic Requirements

  • Compulsory study hours in the evening
  • Minimum 75% attendance required
  • Regular progress monitoring by wardens
  • Extra coaching available for needy students

Timing & Schedule

  • Lights off: 10:30 PM (Weekdays), 11:00 PM (Weekends)
  • Morning assembly: 6:00 AM
  • Meal times must be strictly followed
  • Leave applications must be submitted in advance
